Caersws saw their Huws Gray Cymru Alliance challenge fizzle out at Flint.

The Bluebirds crashed 5-1, one of their biggest defeats of the season, leaving manager Mickey Evans disappointed by their form on the road.

Jack Abrahams (two), Jason Renshaw, Stefan Halewood and Luke Tyson did the damage with Graham Evans (pictured) scoring for the villagers from the penalty spot. They only trailed 2-1 at the break but found Flint too hot to handle in the second half.

Dyffryn Banw's hopes of Central Wales Cup progress ended in disappointment and a 5-0 thrashing at Penrhyncoch while Guilsfield struggled to make progress, eventually beating Bow Street 3-2.

In the Spar Mid Wales League Carno returned from Dolgellau with all three points with a 3-0 win while Llanidloes enjoyed an emphatic 7-1 win against lowly Presteigne.

In the second division Abermule enjoyed a 3-2 win over struggling Llanfyllin, Kerry were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Abereaeron and Llanfair suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Llandrindod Wells.
