Only one game survives Sunday rain

Just one fixture survived the torrential rain in Newtown Sunday League last weekend, and that was on the all-weather surface at Welshpool.

Home side The Angel triumphed 5-2 against the visiting Oak Llanidloes. Luke Weaver kept up his fine scoring form by netting twice, as did Matt Knight, with Adam Knight getting the other goal for the Angel. For the Oak, the scorers were Chris Davies and David Martin.

The postponed cup fixtures from last weekend will take place next weekend (20^th February) instead.
