A Llanidloes man found dead at his home had a plastic bag over his head connected to a helium gas cylinder a Welshpool inquest heard.
The Powys coroner heard that 46 year old Joshua Brydie of Y Fan, Llanidloes was found lying on a mattress on the floor of a bedroom.
The cause of death was asphyxia and helium inhalation.
Recording a narrative verdict the Coroner said, “Joshua Brydie was found deceased at his home address with a plastic bag over his head and a tube from a helium cylinder leading to it.
“He had consumed sufficient alcohol to have possibly impaired his judgement, so the issue of intent could not be determined on the evidence.”
