Newtown man dies in stairs fall

A 76 year-old man broke his spine when falling down stairs at his Newtown home a Welshpool inquest has heard.

 

Geoffrey Dugmore Lovett of Goleufryn, Llanfair Road, Newtown was discovered after the fall on September 14, 2010. He had fractured his cervical spine and had suffered spinal chord trauma.

 

The Powys Coroner recorded a verdict of accidental death.
