Powys County Council's library service is joining forces with the BBC's First Click campaign to encourage more people over the age of 55 to enjoy the benefits of using a computer.
First Click sessions are being held in libraries across Powys where staff will be on hand to help users learn the basics of using a computer and how to get online. Staff will be able to provide advice and reassurance to help people make that first step.
Councillor Gwyn Gwillim, Powys County Council's Board Member with portfolio for the library service, said: "Using computers to get on the internet is easier than you think, so why not take your first click in one of our libraries.
"You are never too old or unskilled to learn how to use the internet. So why not ask a member of staff about getting started."
Internet use is free at all Powys County Council libraries with 148 public access computers available over 17 branch libraries.
