A local youth music group are to hold their annual cheese and wine event complete with festive music next week.
Montgomeryshire Youth Music (MYM) will be holding their annual cheese and wine at their Christmas concert on 4th December at 7pm at Welshpool High School.
Tickets on the door are just £7 per adult and £3 per child (under 16) and include a free drink, cheese and biscuits and mince pies.
This year's programme includes favourites such as “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Circle of Life”, “I'll be there for you” and “Christmas Carol Suite” from the concert band and orchestra with some new contributions from the Choir, following dedicated workshops in Newtown.
“The guitar and ukulele musicians are performing longer sets of original music and the popularity of the Snare drumline this term has enabled the group to double their repertoire of pieces with a great variety of textures and rhythms,” said a spokesperson for the youth group.
“The standard achieved by the members is superb and we are delighted to showcase the progress they have made over the last 12 months.”
