It was more than just cars being finely tuned at NPTC Group’s Newtown college campus.
Over 50 motor mechanics and trade personnel were at the college to hear about the latest technology and industry news.
The college hosted an informative employers evening organised and sponsored by Newtown Motor Factors.
Almost 50 mechanics from throughout Powys attended the employer engagement evening.
The college’s Arwyn Jones said: “The star attraction was a car specially adapted to simulate faults in a variety of vehicle systems that is used to facilitate teaching to garage technicians on a commercial basis.
“Many of the attendees were past learners and apprentices, and nearly all were active or past employers.”
Many of the College staff and managers also attended the evening, and enjoyed the opportunity to find out more about specialised equipment, leading industry practice and general knowledge.
