Fashion Show for Air Ambulance

The BTEC Business Students from Coleg Powys Newtown are putting on a charity fashion show called ‘The Ultimate Collection’ at Theatr Hafren on Friday , February 11 from 7pm.

There will be a wide range of fashion on show to suit every budget, with clothing for children, teenagers, ladies and men’s wear, sportswear, outdoor wear, bridal and evening dress.

The following retailers have been secured for the show: New Look, Peacocks, Ann’s, Celtic Brides, Clubsports, Air Outdoors and Tesco.

The Performing Arts and Health & Social Care students will be modelling the clothes, alongside some staff and their children, and professional models from Ann’s. The Hair & Beauty students will be styling the hair and makeup.

The Business students have arranged the event as part of their course. The emphasis of the fashion show is to promote fashion that can be bought locally whilst supporting a local charity. Half of the proceeds will go to The Wales Air Ambulance.

Course Tutor Liz Ashton said: “The students have been working exceptionally hard to make sure this will be a great show for an extremely worthwhile cause. I am very proud of them, they deserve a successful event."

She added: “It will be a fantastic night out for all the family and it will be possible to place orders on the night for anyone that is interested.”
