Help name new mobile police station

A new mobile police station will soon be visiting communities throughout Montgomeryshire.

Dyfed Powys Police is basing one of four new mobile police stations in Powys and it will be used by police officers and PCSO's to visit more rural areas to meet and discuss with residents and businesses.

The police force are now inviting people to help name each of the mobile stations and have opened voting to name them.

"We have just launched our mobile police team in each county. Members of the local neighbourhood teams will be in the new mobile police stations in your community," said a police spokesperson.

"They will have a regular booking so you know when they will be available for you to visit.

"We have asked pupils from local schools to come up with a few suggestions. We didn’t want to miss out in the fun and wanted to get involved as well."

Schoolchildren in Powys came up with the names Powysaurus, Moving Force, Kite Runner, Rebus and Madog and you can vote via this website http://www.dyfed-powys.police.uk/en/your-area/mobile-police-station-names for your favourite name.
