Pool opening delayed

Swimmers will have to wait a further 24 hours for the town’s swimming pool to re-open for business.

 

Last night, Maldwyn Leisure Centre announced that due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ the pool would not be open today as originally scheduled but should be back to business tomorrow (Tuesday).

The statement read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances the pool will now open TUESDAY 25th JANUARY at 0715 hrs. Unfortunately this results in Starfish and all other pool activies being cancelled Monday. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

 

The Leisure Centre’s facilities are going through a major facelift at the moment and the pool has been closed for the past month. The next phase of work will refurbish the athletics facilities.
