Countdown to Newtown food and drink festival

The countdown has begun for this year's Newtown Food and Drink Festival.

Organisers day they want the annual event (5-6 September) to become a key attraction in the regional food and drink festival and following the success of last year's event, they believe they are on their way.

Chefs, food and drink producers, music and live entertainment are planned for the two-day event taking place over the weekend at the Town Hall grounds and in the town centre.

Demonstration, exhibitions, sales and more have been promised by organisers, including Newtown Town Council and Newtown Chamber of Trade, with funding from the Welsh Government and Big Lottery Fund.
