Motorcyclist dies in accident with minibus

Police have appealed for witnesses after a 49-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of an accident near Kerry involving a minibus.

The accident happened at 8.50am on Sunday on the A489 between Kerry and Sarn.

Police said a minibus with three people in and the motorcycle collided.

The motorcyclist, who has not been named, died at the scene. The occupants of the minibus were not injured but were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed throughout the day while specialist officers undertook investigations into the accident.

"Tragically, the 49-year-old male who was riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision," said a Dyfed Powys Police spokesperson.

The cause of the accident is being investigated and police have issued an appeal for anyone who might have been driving in the area around the time of the accident or seen a motorcycle or minibus in the area at the time.
