Entries open for Newtown charity "Funathlon"

Newtown is to host a charity triathlon in September.

The Newtown Funathlon will take place at the Maldwyn Leisure Centre in aid of Wales Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK.

The event will include a 16 length swim at Maldwyn, an 11 mile cycle to Forden and a three mile run around Forden on 6th September.

Individuals and teams can enter the event and participants can take part in one, two or all elements of the triathlon.

The event will start at 1pm with sign on from 12noon to 12.30pm and entry is £15 for an individual and £30 for a team.
