Theatre group reveals new production for 2016

28/07/2015 @ 09:14

The Montgomeryshire hills will be alive with music next Spring after Newtown Musical Theatre Company announced its next latest production.

The group’s Spring show will be The Sound of Music, due to be performed at Hafren in March 2016.

But this is after the theatre company has performed its production of HMS Pinafore at Hafren in October.

And the group is seeking more support for its 2016 production.

“If you are interested in becoming director, musical director or maybe production manager for The Sound of Music we would love to hear from you,” said Jonathan Davies of NMTC.

“Even if you have little or no experience, NMTC would still love to hear from you, there are always other ways to help out, such as costumes, choreography, publicity, set design, make-up to name but a few.

“Maybe you would prefer to actually perform on stage and NMTC are keen to hear from you too.

“Rehearsals will be starting for this show in October 2015 following the conclusion of our current show, HMS Pinafore.”

HMS Pinafore will be directed by Mike Clarke who will be assisted by first time musical director for NMTC, Paul Wardell.

The show will be performed at the Hafren, Newtown on 1st, 2nd and 3rd October 2015 with tickets are now on sale.

So to book your tickets early please contact the Hafren Box office on 01686 614555 or book them online at http://www.thehafren.co.uk.

Anyone interested in performing, helping back stage, publicity, costumes,  chaperoningin at either HMS Pinafore or The Sound of Music, send an email in to newtownmtc@hotmail.co.uk or drop a text message to 07891 954416.
