More road misery for commuters

Commuters faced more roads misery this morning with traffic on the road between Welshpool and Newtown at a standstill.

Resurfacing on the A483 at Abermule was causing the traffic to back up for miles in either direction with the situation compounded by the fact that the road had been closed until 7.30 this morning further up at the Nags Head because of an accident.

A traveller contacted MyNewtown to tell us how bad the situation was. "This is a nightmare. Not only do we have massive problems when we reach Newtown but now these roadworks are putting an extra 20 minutes on the journey."
