Focus group event to consider anti-social issues

20/04/2015 @ 11:18

A focus group is to look at anti-social behaviour and those with mental health or substance misuse issues.

The event will take place on Wednesday at the Elephant and Castle Hotel in Broad Street and has been organised by the Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO) and others.

It wants people, their carers or family, who have been involved with the police through anti-social behaviour or substance misuse and have mental health issues to attend and to give their views.

“The University of Bangor, in partnership with PAVO are interested in hearing from people who may have been in contact with the police, either by being "Sectioned" under the mental health act, or picked up by the police due to "behaviour issues", being deemed “anti-social".  Carers or family members are also welcomed,” said a PAVO spokesperson.

The event will take place in the St Mary’s Room between 2pm and 4pm.

Anyone wanting to take part can contact Freda Lacey on 01597 822191.
