One hundred competitors are today preparing for tomorrow's second Newtown Triathlon.
The event, which is fully booked, kicks off early tomorrow morning (Sunday) at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, with competitors swimming, cycling and running.
Organised by staff at the leisure centre, the event is pulling in competitors far and wide as well as many local people who are just getting involved in the sport.
Motorists are urged to take precautions when driving in the Newtown area, particularly along the A489 towards Llandinam where cyclists will be routed.
The running section heads along Plantation Lane and up into the Mochdre Industrial Estate which they will run two laps of.
The first swimmers will start off at 7.30am with registration from 6.30am.
