Four arrested after disturbance

Police have arrested four people after a disturbance on the Treowen housing estate in Newtown over the weekend.

Police were called to a house on the estate late on Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday morning they arrested four people.

A police spokesperson said: "Following a disturbance in the Treowen area of Newtown on the evening of Friday, 23rd January, four person have been arrested during the early hours of Saturday, 24th January."

Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the disturbance after being called to the scene.

"As enquiries continue there will be an increased presence in the area and anybody with any information relating to the incident can contact Newtown CID on 101," added the spokesperson.
