Newtown kids ‘steal the show’ in Welshpool

Newtown youngsters have been praised by local civic leaders for their ‘superb’ performance at the Carol Service organised at the County Council offices in Welshpool yesterday.

Newtown Mayor Joy Jones and County Councillor Russ George were among the congregation for the concert which included the choir from Ysgol Dafydd Llwydd.

“The town can be proud of these youngsters,” said Cllr Jones. “They put on a wonderful performance for more than 20 minutes which was a real highlight of the service. They were superb.”
