Photography, a quiz and raffle will form part of Newtown Astronomy Club's latest meeting to be held on Saturday.

The club will meet between 6.30pm and 9.30pm at Newtown Catholic Church Crypt on Long Bridge street.
"This will be our seasonal social, featuring a practical astrophotography activity by our very own Bob Stuart, plus a quiz, raffle, and pizza," said a club spokesperson.
"Bob's hands on talk will be about setting up a camera in SharpCap and acquiring images that will then be processed in AS3! and Registax, followed by Photoshop.
"There will be images of the Moon for people to stack and process and LRGB images of Jupiter for people to do the same. Bob will store the processed images of whoever has taken part and print them off for them to have at the next meeting, so they can compare each others. If anyone wants to bring their own laptop with this software on then that is fine, otherwise you can use Bob's."
Entry is £4 on the door or membership allows 10 meetings a year for £25. Contact secretary.newtownastrosoc@gmail.com.
Entry to monthly meetings is free for under 18s, who must be accompanied and signed in by an adult who is, or has permission of, the parent/guardian, and is also a member or pays on the door.
