Newtown fireworks display is on!

Newtown's fireworks display is going ahead tonight (Friday), organisers have confirmed.

While displays in other parts of the area, including Welshpool and Meifod, have bene cancelled, Newtown Rotary Club said its display is going ahead.

The annual event will take place at Latham Park, home of Newtown AFC, and starts at 7pm.

Adults are £10 a ticket and children are £5., with under school age admitted for free.
