World Osteoporosis Day to be highlighted in Newtown

World Osteoporosis Day will be highlighted in Newtown with an event on Friday.
The Newtown Support Group of the Royal Osteoporosis Society is marking the occasion with a meeting at 2pm in Newtown Methodist Church, Back Lane.
The event will include an afternoon with an osteoporosis consultant and the speaker is Dr Ian Thompson, Consultant Physician who is based at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from an expert in osteoporosis.
Everyone welcome, free admission, light refreshments. Pamphlets and information about Osteoporosis will be available," said a spokesperson.
