Schoolchildren could help look after town's flower beds

Schools in Newtown could be asked if they want their pupils to help look after flower beds in the town.

Town councillors have discussed the possibility of pupils "taking pride" in their town by helping with some of the flower beds.

Members of the council's Services Committee agreed to pursue the idea at their meeting this week.
