One of Newtown's main Tuesday fruit and veg trader's has pulled out of Newtown Tuesday Charter street market, but town councillors have been told another one is on the way.
The council's Services Committee was told this week that efforts are continuing to push the market, but "we are doing all we can to get the traders here."
The committee was told one trader had left due to a range of staffing and other issues. However, another had ben approached who had attended and the council officers were hopeful they would return.
"But if we can't get people to buy from them..." said an officer at the committee. "We can do what we can do."
