Oak trees commemorate two former schools

Two oak trees have been donated to the new Ysgol Calon y Dderwen.
The school has been formed through the amalgamation of Hafren School and Ladywell Green School off Park Street.
The two Oak trees have been donated by Open Newtown and were presented and planted at the school after being taken from a hedge line on Trehafren Hill.
This was part of a larger planting project by Cultivate who were providing the trees to plant an orchard at the school. It was great fun to work with such an enthusiastic group of people.
