Lorry driver saves truck from blaze

A lorry driver managed to save his truck unit when its trailer caught fire on the Newtown bypass.
"The fire was contained to the trailer only and driver was out on arrival," said a Montgomery Fire Station social media post. "4BA, 2HRJ (hose reel jet) and TIC (thermal imaging camera) used to extinguish."
The specialist Environmental Protection Unit from Newtown Fire Station was also called out to prevent any contamination caused in the area.
