Police chief to meet town councillors

A senior police officer is to meet with Newtown town councillors to discuss policing in the area.

Superintendent Steve Davies of Dyfed Powys Police will meet councillors at their meeting on Monday when he will run through the policing model for Montgomeryshire and Powys and its impact on Newtown.

Councillors are expected to raise local issues on crime in the area during the meeting.

The meeting is due to take place on Monday, 24 January during the council's full meeting.
