Hybrid town council meetings set to continue

18/11/2021 @ 09:26
Town councillors are expected to continue holding hybrid meetings in 2022.

Council meetings have been held over Teams since the beginning of the pandemic, although in recent months up to eight councillors and council staff could meet in the chamber with others joining remotely.

On Monday the Town Council will consider the current guidance which advises on continuing hybrid meetings. It comes as the Welsh Government continues with alert Level 0 and is urging businesses and organisations to work from home where possible.

A town council report states: "A number of measures will be put in place including: •Encouraging councillors and officers to attend meetings remotely where possible •Reducing the number of councillors and officers present in the chamber to a maximum of 8. •Requesting the wearing of facemasks unless exempt •Requesting that public access to meetings is remote-only."
