'Newtown Remembers' is the subject of a display in Newtown town centre this week marking Armistice.
Newtown Local History Group is hosting the display in the Bear Lanes shopping centre and it will be open on Saturday.
Te display includes the Embroidered Banner produced for the First World War centenary, which has the forces of all men who lost their lives 1914-1918. There are silk embroidered postcards and medals.
"We had Newtown Mayor Councillor Richard Williams attend the History Group stall where we have the Newtown 2022 Calendars commemorating the past and present community champions who supported 18,000 free meals during the pandemic," said Ann Evans.
The History Group will be in Bear Lanes this coming Saturday, 13th November. The Newtown Calendars can also be purchased at the Town Council Visitor Information Centre, Newtopia Shop, and the Oriel Davies Gallery.
