Climate challenge highlighted at weekend events

Groups gathered in Llanidloes and Newtown over the weekend to mark the COP26 Global Day of Action.

In Llanidloes, people met at the Minerva centre where activities and stalls were help raising awareness of the climate challenge and where people could speak about their views.

The Mayor of Llanidloes, Cllr Janet Crisp, spoke at the event which had been organised by Zero Carbon Llanidloes.

Other speakers stressed the seriousness of the climate emergency, suggested some actions we could start to take in Llanidloes and about the environmental destruction taking place in the Palestinian Territories.
