Town's young people to be celebrated

Youth volunteer awards could be announced in Newtown shortly.

Newtown Town Council is planning to celebrate the role of young people in the community with the awards as part of the planned "Celebration of Newtown" event on 9 March 2022.

The town council's Economy and Environment Committee will discuss the idea next week.

A working group is expected to be set up to decide categories before the full council considers the idea.
