Zero Carbon Llanidloes,The Wilderness Trust, The Hanging Gardens Project and Puppet Soup are planning the workshops, quizzes and other events leading up to the day on 6 November.
"In the week leading up to November 6th, Puppet Soup will be running a series of puppet making workshops at The Hanging Gardens Project, Bethel Street, Llanidloes. These will not only be fun for young people and their parents, but help raise environmental awareness during COP26," said Duncan Burwood of Zero Carbon Llanidloes.
"Other events will include films, talks, a quiz night. On the 6th, an environmental exhibition and stalls will take place at the Minerva Centre, as well as a puppet procession along Great Oak Street.
"With help from Puppet Soup, participants will be helped to produce placards, short videos or recorded messages to be sent to the organisers of COP26 to help ensure that the conference results in real moves towards Net Zero Carbon."
