Free sculpture workshops launch next month

Young people in the area looking to try making sculptures are being invited to free workshops.
The Mid Wales Arts Centre near Caersws are recruiting young people and teenagers to take part in the sculpture project this summer.
"Thanks to the Arts Council of Wales, a series of FREE day workshops will run every Wednesday and Thursday 10-4, throughout August. You can sign up for any or all sessions," said Cathy Knapp of the centre.
"You can learn from professional sculptors and collaborate to create an artwork inspired by the legacy of Robert Owen, who was an important social reformer and industrialist born in Newtown, the founder of the Co-operative movement.
T"hese sessions will be taught by members of Sculpture Cymru, the National Association of Sculptors in Wales. You will have the chance to explore your ideas under expert guidance, gaining practical experience and theoretical Knowledge."
