Author Jay makes a 'bee' line to arts centre

A local author is to launch her new book at a local arts centre.

Jay Griffiths will launch her book 'Why Rebel' at the Mid Wales Arts Centre near Caersws on 16 March between 3pm and 5pm.

The launch forms part of the centre's current exhibition - Climate Change.

Jay was captivated by one part of the exhibition, line drawings by Rob Davies and specifically a 'Bee.'

Jay a strong believer of the importance of the role of insects to sustain life.

Jay will be holding a book launch, giving a talk and signing copies of her new book published by Penguin.

The exhibition closes on 23rd May.

Jay is an award winning author who has written six critically acclaimed books, she writes for the Guardian's comment and feature pages, is a regular columnist for Orion Magazine, a contributor to The Observer, the Ecologist, the London Review of Books and many others.

She has broadcast widely on BBC radio, including Start the Week and Woman’s Hour, and the World Service. Radiohead invited Jay Griffiths to write for their newspaper " The Universal Sigh'
