Members of Newtown Knit and Natter have been at it again - raising cash for local charities.
The group, which hasn't been able to meet during lockdown, has continued to knit and sell items anyway.
Cheque presentations have been made by the group to David Morgan of Dementia Friendly Newtown - £510, and to Ruth Jones on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society - £530.08, in memory of group member Paula Roberts dad.
"I very much hope that this money can go some way to one day eradicating this heartbreaking disease and to helping people living locally with Dementia," said Paula.
"None of this would be possible without the amazing kindness and generosity of the Knit and Natter ladies and their wonderful knitted / crocheted donations.
"Thanks must also go to Ruth Jones and Santander for match funding our pennies so the charities were able to benefit even more."
