Police and Crime Commissioner candidates revealed

Candidates for the Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioner election have been confirmed.

The election will take place on 6 May, the same day as the Welsh Parliament elections.

The PCC is an elected representative who ensures police forces are run effectively and efficiently, replacing the police authorities in 2012 to bring a public voice to policing.

These elections are supposed to be held every four years but were postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Jon Burns - Conservative

Dafydd Llywelyn - Plaid Cymru

Glyn Preston - Liberal Democrat

Philippa Thompson - Labour
