Newtown could again host the Tour of Britain

Could Newtown be chosen to host one of this year's Tour of Britain stages?
That's the question being asked after the cycling event's organisers revealed the majority of stages crossing the UK in September this year but said two stages in Wales will be revealed n the summer.
It is understood one of the stages will be in Mid Wales. Stages Three and Four are in Wales on 7 and 8 September.
Stage Three arrives at Exeter on 6 September, while Stage Five begins in South Cheshire, leaving Mid Wales a prime location in between for at least one of the stages.
It is understood organisers are waiting to see what the Covid-19 regulations are likely to be in Wales the Summer before making a final decision.
