Search on for local skills leader

The search is on for someone from a local business to lead a new skills partnership being set up in the region.

The Growing Mid Wales Partnership has announced it is establishing a Mid Wales Skills Partnership to work with local business leaders and others to drive forward skills.

Now a private-sector representative is being sought to lead the new partnership with the nomination process for a Chair now open.
 
Leaders of the Growing Mid Wales Partnership, Councillors Ellen ap Gwynn and Rosemarie Harris, said: “This is an exciting time for learning and skills in Mid Wales. This new partnership will play a vital role in ensuring that the learning and skills infrastructure meets the economic and social needs of Mid Wales.
 
“We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and inspirational person from the private sector to Chair this new partnership. They will play a key role in helping to drive the region’s vision for learning and skills, representing the voice of the private sector in the regional to influence and support regional decision-making and to champion the region at a national level.”
