Investigation launched into man's death

An investigation is underway following the death of a man in Newtown.
Police have confirmed the incident in Newtown town centre today involved a man who had died and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
Police said they were called, along with firefighters and paramedics, to an address at Gas Street at 9.15am.
"Officers attended, along with ambulance and fire crews, where sadly a male was pronounced deceased," said a Dyfed Powys Police spokesperson.
"An investigation into the circumstances is underway and anyone with information is asked to contact the coroners officer for the case PC 186 Donovan, quoting reference DP-20210226-054."
