A much needed survey on the condition of Newtown's St Mary's Church has been delayed until later this year.
Town councillors will be asked to night (Monday) to carry forward a budget for a condition survey of the historic church into its 2021/2022 budget.
The survey had been due to take place last year. It would have looked at the structural condition of the survey.
The town council had set aside £2,500 for the survey.
A report to councillors said the survey had not been undertaken due to Covid-19.
The church houses the tomb of the Pryce-Jones family and has been the centre of vandalism and anti-social behaviour in previous years.
