Three peaks charity challenge for workers

15/02/2021 @ 09:32
Colleagues at a Newtown company are aiming to climb three peaks in 24 hours this summer in aid of local charities.

Staff at Makefast on the Mochdre Industrial Estate are planning to climb Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan on 6 August, if Covid-19 regulations allow.

The challenge has been organised by James Love, the company's health and safety manager.

James said: "We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for 3 amazing charities. Ponthafren Association, a Newtown based charity for mental health; Macmillan Cancer Support; and Designability who make powered wheelchairs, specifically designed for physically disabled children.

"All three charities have been chosen by the people taking part in the event whose lives have been affected in some way and helped by these charities."
