The history of Liberalism in Montgomeryshire will be the subject of a talk this evening (Thursday).
Montgomeryshire Liberal Democrats are holding the talk, led by Welshpool town councillor Richard Church, at 7.30pm on Zoom.
"140 years ago Montgomeryshire people were up in arms against high rents, discrimination and unfair taxes. It led to the rise of the Liberal Party and over a century of Liberal and Liberal Democrat MPs," said Alison Alexander, Chair of Montgomerysire Liberal Democrats and Welsh Parliament candidate.
"Welshpool Town Councillor Richard Church talks about the personalities that have represented Montgomeryshire for over 100 years and the impact they made, both nationally and locally."
