Police appeal for distinct helmet

Police say a distinct bike helmet was stolen during a break-in at Brooks Cycles in Newtown on Sunday.

Two bikes were taken during the break-in between 10.30am and 12noon at the shop near the Ladywell Precinct, as reported by MyNewtown.

Police have revealed that a distinct helmet was also taken. A spokesman said only a few are legitimately owned in the area.

The 'Vegas' helmet (pictured) is quite distinct and unique and anyone with information about the break-in or know of the whereabouts of the Giant Amthem and Giant Talon 2 bike should contact them on 101 or by contacting Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
