Free 'become your own boss' event

Anyone from Newtown considering becoming self-employed is being invited to attend a virtual meeting of local Mid Wales businesses people.
PRIME Cymru – a charity founded by HRH The Prince of Wales - is hosting a free virtual 'Be Your Own Boss Mid Wales' event on Tuesday, 26 January 2021.
They have brought together business experts from across Powys and Ceredigion, to offer a wide range of support and guidance to anyone thinking about becoming self-employed.
From business idea workshops to financial advice and case studies from successful businesspeople, there is something to cover all interests.
PRIME Cymru believe that the Coronavirus pandemic has left people exploring different career options, with many considering starting their own business.
PRIME Cymru’s Director of Operations, Hayley Ridge-Evans, said: “PRIME Cymru is very excited to be holding our first entirely virtual Be Your Own Boss events, and thank you to all those organisations who are taking part for sharing their experience and expertise with individuals who are starting out on their journey.
“It is important that people who are thinking about starting a business during the current pandemic are able to receive the support and help they need and deserve, and had the situation been different we would have been holding a physical event. Just because we can’t meet in person doesn’t mean we can’t help enable the entrepreneurs of tomorrow to achieve their goals and ambitions today.”
Starting at 10am, throughout the day there will be a mixture of videos, webinars and online workshops from Working Wales, Business Wales, Business Sense Associates, Career Alchemy, Darwin Gray Legal Practice, Upstart Wales, Ceredigion County Council, Purple Shoots, Development Bank of Wales, Job Centre Plus, Focus Business Hub Newtown, Clive Davies Mayor of Cardigan, New Skills New Start, RCS and the Federation of Small Businesses.
