Eight arrested in undercover drugs swoop

An undercover police operation has swooped on an alleged heroin supply ring in Newtown with eight people arrested.

Local officers were joined by members of the Serious and Organised Crime Team in an operation on Friday in the town. Eight people, four men and four women, have appeared before Brecon Magistrates charged with conspiracy to supply heroin.

The eight people have been remanded in custody.
