One of the area's longest established family businesses made national BBC Radio 1 today.
Bemused listeners were treated to made-up jingles of Bunners of Montgomery by a caller called Ed on the Matt and Molly show at 9.20am.
The presenters had been given a mission to find someone who made jingles for adverts and one caller, Ed, said when he was a child he and his dad would make up jingles while in stores in Mid Wales, including Bunners and Coed-y-Dinas at Welshpool.
Ed couldn't remember the Bunners jingle he and his dad would sing, but gave a rendition of "Coedy, Coedy Y Dinas."
Matt and Molly were amused by the piece, while Mid Wales was put on the map.
The piece can be heard on BBC Sounds at around 9.20am.
