Newtown could have first forest school in Wales

Newtown could be home to the first forest and river school in Wales.

Open Newtown is working on a project that would establish such a scheme within woodlands in the town, providing open air and natural educational facilities about nature, biodiversity and the river.

Stuart Owen of Open Newtown has told town councillors it could be the first in Wales.

It would form part of another destination for local people and visitors to the town.
