28/10/2020 @ 03:14
The number of positive Coronavirus cases reported in Newtown North today has jumped to 18 for the past seven days, up from four reported in yesterday's figures.

The figure equates to 290.2 per 100,000.

For Newtown South the figure is five new cases reported which equates to 99.6 cases per 100,000, bringing a total of 23 cases.

A cluster of positive cases has been reported among staff and residents at the Bethshan Nursing Home.

The rise comes during the first week of the Welsh Government's lockdown which aims to reduce the spread.

On Friday last week Newtown was lifted to a 'High Risk' area.

Currently, lockdown regulations mean people are being told to stay at home and should not mix households.
