New councillor joins council

A new town councillor has been co-opted to Newtown Town Council.

Jackie Davies was co-opted unanimously by town councillors. It followed the resignation of Clly Roy Tappin.

The co-option took place after nobody came forward for nomination for an election to contest the vacant Central Ward seat.
