Play park expected to be called Parc Hafren

A decision on the name of Newtown's new play park will be made next week.

Newtown Town Council went out to consultation with residents and organisations for the new park in the town centre.

Names suggested included Parc Y Castell, Parc Sabrina, Parc Robert Owen,
Parc Hafren, Dolerw Play Park.

Following the consultation the majority of people opted for Parc Hafren.

Town councillors will meet on Monday at their full online meeting, to confirm a name and are expected to vote for Parc Hafren.
